Privacy Policy

quick-tools.site ("we", "this site") provides a set of small, free browser-based utilities. This page explains what data is and isn't collected when you use them.

The short version

The tools themselves (formatting, converting, checking, generating) run entirely in your browser. Files and text you paste or upload into a tool — JSON, PDFs, photos, passwords, scripts — are processed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Separately, this site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic and (where enabled) Google AdSense to show ads, both of which involve cookies and data collection described below.

Information the tools themselves handle

Formatly, ShrinkPDF, HeicOut, RegexReads, ScriptCheck, and ContrastFix process everything you enter locally in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you type or upload into these tools is sent to us or stored anywhere.

PassForge's password generator also runs entirely locally. Its optional breach-check feature sends a short, partial hash (not your actual password) to the independent, public Have I Been Pwned API operated by a third party — see their own privacy policy for details on how they handle that request.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, and general device/browser information. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. This data is aggregated and used to understand site usage, not to identify individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or generally at aboutads.info.

Third-party services used by specific tools

ShrinkPDF and HeicOut load open-source libraries (pdf-lib, heic2any) from the cdnjs content delivery network to perform in-browser file conversion. These libraries run locally in your browser once loaded and do not transmit your files anywhere. Several pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers to fetch the font files.

Cookies

This site does not set its own tracking cookies. Cookies you may encounter come from Google Analytics and, where applicable, Google AdSense, as described above.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
